Captains finished! Cinema + Beach!! ✧

I finished Captains trousers + sash!!! :)

After this I worked on the boots! I stuffed the legs with cotton so they wouldn't look inhumanly skinny!!

I stayed up till 3am doing that! (It's a tough life, ha!) Originally I was thinking of using black and fur at the edges of the boots..but my black fabric disappeared! :| so I used this yellow fabric an thought I'd paint over them brown, but everyone said they looked nice like this? Still unsure whether I should do fur on the trims? :3
I'm gonna add more detail to the jacket and might stuff the arms cause they look so skinny! -w-

Alexander finally can be united with his love! ♡

They're just the cutest couple ever, no?!

They are hugging all the time now! Kehee :3
So happy with how Captain turned out!

Just to note this as people ask this a few times ~ (even though I say so already) I don't think I made it very clear though. But, just to confirm, the entire doll is made by me, I don't create the eyes or hair, they are brought separately, (if I knew a glass blower and had a pet alpaca I would totally use that to my advantage ;D) As you see on here though, I create my dolls from a lump of clay , wire, wool, fabrics, glass eyes, acrylic paints and that's all, maybe a few craft bits for clothes ^_^

Oh~ I went to see "now you see me" at the cinema with friends about a week ago! It was quite good! Worth going to see, not so same-y same-yy storyline as a lot if films are these days lol.
Though there are quite a few movies I want to see!
•the conjuring
•kick ass 2 (omggg) (prob wont be amazing as first but RED MIST!!)
•the wolverine (I love x-men soo much ;_;)
Um I think that's all I have in my mind ATM do wanna see that World war Z and the other film with will smith but I can't remember it. I wanna see Ezylim(think its called that) too!

But yeah! I enjoyed Now you see me! Idk if I'd be bothered to watch it again. But it's an interesting film :3

Also for the first time ever I went to the theatre!!!!! I saw "noises off" it was so funny, I really enjoyed it, theatre is good!!!!! I will defiantly go there more!

Aand I went to the BEACH!!!! ( ̄▽ ̄)
I loved it so much! I could lay in the sand for hours! Which I pretty much did! I haven't been to the beach in forever so it was very nice! :3 though it felt like a dream, unreal, (I didn't have a sense of danger cause this lol..) maybe it was all that sun :-P
It was quite a big beach! Loads of people were there though ;(

For some reason I can't post more pics so i'll continue this post with another!!!! (●ↀωↀ●)✧

Urban Decay Foundation Review!

I never really believed expensive make-up made a hell a lot of a difference but this has changed my opinion. Nothing's ever worked well on my skin from a drugstore. I've always wanted UD make-up and went to look at it today. I let the saleswoman do my make-up and it looked /amazing/ hardly could tell I was wearing any and it matched my skin perfectly. (Im pale as snow cause anaemia) I was expecting not to rly like it as I'm very particular w/ how I do my make-up and usually always hate what others do.
I know these people are trained well obviously, but she did an amazing job, really improved my look! ヾ(*⌒ー⌒*)ノ

The primer felt soo nice. Worked perf. The setting spray was great!! My face is getting terribly sweaty as its been sunny here for a long time now. It definitely made a big difference and kept shine under control, also the eyebrows as mine are drawn, lol. The eyeshadow are soo pretty!! I wanna get me some m00ndust!!! I really want a palette..

She used a brown + dark blonde for my eyebrows, everyone said they look much better (my usual eyebrows I just drew lines w/ eyeliner, ha!)

I will get a brow pencil tho!!!!

She used a bronzer on me too which looked very natural, it was all great!

The BEST thing ever is what just happened right now. I removed it all and my skin looks and feels amazing!! Most the imperfections I had are gone o_O what is this wizardry!!!!! I feel so beautiful!!! Lol!!

Anyhow; I purchased the optical brush + the lightest foundation. (Will defo buy primer + setting spray another day!!)

The optical blur brush is very worth getting! Don't bother getting a cheap brush or sponge; this brush is the best! It left no lines and blended the make-up perfectly!

Anyway even though its pretty expensive (ended up spending around £50) it's worth it if you get bad skin I'd say for sure. Usually I spend about £10 and buy Maybelline Dream Mouse but its terrible for your skin. The lady said it goes on matt and fools people as it dries out your skin and makes it greasy..
which is exactly what happened to me .-.

Goodbye Maybelline!!!

Stay: 4/5 but with primer & setting spray I'd give it a 5!!
Appearance: 5/5 it really appears as If you aren't even wearing make-up!! (I use the optical brush though so idk how it goes on without brush, but if you're gonna spend out on the make-up you may as well purchase the brush)
Colour: 5/5 matched my skin perfectly
Price: 5/5 considering its quality I think it's reasonable

I should have invested in this before! ^-^;
Will let you guys know how I get on with it over time too. :3

Hope this has been helpful in some way!
Sorry no pics of my face but I didn't like my hair today :(

Goodnight! ★

The captains shirt is complete! ★

Hello! I've been working on clothes for the Cap'n!

I stayed up all night yesterday hand stitching all of this shirt ∑(゚Д゚) actually i went to bed at 3am because i got too tired. My back was breaking! I stitched a see-through cream material into the gap with silk ribbon above it, then sewed the ruffles over that. Added a thin cutting of ribbon over the lace on the neck detail and a bow with a pearl in the middle.
I wanted to finish it but I got this far:

yeah I can't afford a sewing machine so no easy way out for me ( ̄O ̄;)

It came out quite wwell
I also made some pretty little gloves with bows and a pearl in the middle :3
I lost my other pearl so I used a gold one for the other hand xD

Finished the shirt a while ago as my sibling came over & distracted me lol

Just need to do the trousers now!! \(^o^)/

More about me~ (ღ˘⌣˘ღ) ♫・*:.。. .。.:*・

I thought I'd write more about myself, how I was drawn into Art and such.

I have always been imaginative and creative since my earliest memories. I definitely wasn't a spoilt child, if I wanted something I'd have to beg my parents to death, more so than just saying please please please, though I gathered little skills of persuasion! it was very little my parents actually gave in.

Anyway, I would always try to create things and use my imagination, one thing I miss dearly is how open your mind is when you're that young. I used to make little bird people from daisies by putting a thorn through the stem, this entertained me endlessly lol.
I remember always being fascinated by plasticine as you could literally bring your imagination to life and create things you want to have that you don't have. At first I would make the simple people with dots for eyes and sausage like hair, I remember my favourite hair to make was yellow then orange strands. I felt like I didn't have much skill in creating things with this as my eldest sister made a model of a person and it was so much smoother and cleaner looking.

Since the influence of Anime came into my life I wanted dolls of the characters. I would try to turn some dolls to look similar but it just didn't work. Once I even tried to hammer a Sindy's body to be a male hahahaha. (Ken and Action Man were far too ugly to be even remotely convincing). I ended up with a broken chest less Sindy. Since transforming dolls didn't work I had the idea of drawing the characters and cutting them out and playing with them like paper-dolls. I have so many good memories of these!
Anime was a positive influence, even though it kept me in a dream-like mode I was safe there and it surely improved my drawing! I would draw on EVERYTHING every single day! Even in school books, homework diaries, friends books lol

And I also made plasticine models of all Tenchi Muyo characters, my favourite dynasty warriors characters and some others. Making these over and over again improved my skill and I always tried to challenge myself. I would always try to make the most detailed characters or I'd just make up details into them. It went into making even small plaits and eyelashes, nails etc. even spiral iris' for Rikku.

The reason why I couldn't make these anymore was pretty simple, they just don't sell plasticine anymore. What they do sell is far to oily or cake-mixture like. CRAYOLA did a fantastic pack. It was perfect and didn't dry out! Also I wanted something that couldn't be squashed or melt, it's very difficult to use plasticine with temperatures over or under normal. I've had blisters from it being to cold to mould and it sticking all over me from being too hot. And it's very difficult to do the fine detail in heat.

I experimented with FIMO but my fine details all broke off. Then I thought its over for me, will just be something I used to do.

But I had the inspiration while searching the Internet for different clay types to make dolls. All these ideas surged into my head. And now I'm here, making dolls, something I enjoy greatly.

I am working on the body today! I might even get time to do the clothes \(^o^)/
P.s: what a bugger! My green eyes came!
Dunno what to use them for as I was going to use them for Kiyo but my impatience got the better of me..

Kiyo's progress ★

Heyy there! :D
So so far, Kiyo's been given facial features! I tried to make the face more 3d and less flat looking than my last doll..what do you think?

then i smoothed kiyos face out. For Alexander I used one type of sanding paper (not sure what grade because I forgot) anyway, this time I'm using 3 basic types (coarse ,medium and fine) for some reason I find the coarse:medium made it smoother than the fine? There were less scratches..not sure why but it could be the friction I used?

Alexander is hiding until Kiyo is done...

I tried a different painting technique aswell (base coat then layering) made the face less smooth because how the acrylic dries but it's not too bad..

Right, I was impatient last night (being away from working on Kiyo for so long was so frustrating!!) and so I ended up doing the make up, (also applying some hair) -it turned out hideous because of the terrible lighting and I got majorly upset! 。・°°・(>_<)・°°・。

(This WASN'T how I wanted it to look.
To me this looks rushed and amateur-like.)

I was upset alll day until I got home from work and I sanded the paint off and re-painted the face.

I am SO pleased with the results, the colours I used were less harsh and brings more attention to the beautiful colours of the eyes and recognises the structure of the face.

I have constructed the body and am waiting for it to dry and be sanded. Kiyo had a little dance ꒰*ゝωꉺ꒱۶♡ *¨*•.¸

I am excited to work in the clothing very much. I promise it will be much detailed *^^*

Goodnight now lovelies before I pass out! ☆

Kiyo Doll is in progress!

Hello!! Guess what guys I received my eyes at last! (Purple ones anyway :-P) soo I'm just going to make Kiyo with these instead of the green~

Here's how small they are! Cute ey? These are 8mm BJD eyes.

They are smaller than I realised but it's been soooo much easier to work with my doll is coming along so quickly, it's hot weather too which is making the clay dry super fast!

Aww kiyos a little newborn alien at the moment!! Haha

I've already structured the neck ( ^ω^ )

I am so excited to paint the face as I got a new paintbrush! It's the thinnest one I've found. I have to take very good care of it as thin paintbrushes are so easy to accidentally bend and stay a funny shape! Then they are useless!

Alex's mum gave me these beautiful flowers! They are so nice!
