Hello everyone! Did you all have a good Christmas? Mine was great! \(^-^)/

My most treasured gifts were these! 

I was on the verge of tears when I opened my copics! ;A; ❤ 

I mean,  to a lot of you this is probably nothing!!!! but I wouldn't be able to afford this for myself, so it means so much >~<

Other presents were mostly consisting of nice kawaii sparkly items! ^-^

I've ordered a few things recently!

Ordered&recieved my Gatsby! (Grey)

I've never tried Gatsby before, so was interested! I accidentally didn't realise I ordered a small tub though. It is so small, looks like for a Barbie LOl.

(On their way:) Venus Eye Aqua Circle Lenses from Pinky Paradise!

I was going to order blue Circle lenses but these looked a bit more interesting!

Other things I ordered:

•New 10mm BJD Light Blue Eyes

(Yes, for my next doll! I sure hope they are light as the photo this time!)

•Paperclay (16oz) 

(Yay! >:3 I finally get to test this stuff out!)

(Seeing them in London in March!)

Oh and I ordered DAS 150g Air Dry Modelling clay (Me again not realising 150g is probably enough to do my dolls foot LOL) 

So yeah, I decided I'm making an armature for Crow because I don't want to take 6months to get around to completing him. As cannot find right materials for stringing, been busy, just wasn't the time >~< 

(Lol at me just working on my floor while others work in a studio/spare room)

Armatures are funny, aren't they? :'D

(ps: can you see what I mean about the clay packet being small? LOL)

Luckily this was just enough clay to do his basic frame..

I don't really know why I am still using beads for his shoulders. I just thought it'd give them more structure since I had to stuff Capns shoulders soooo much! 

This clay kinda smells like plasticine. It also takes forever to dry. it's been drying for 5hrs and still is mouldable. My other clay (which is the same but branded "Dozen" instead of "DAS" but exact same clay) dries much faster! I'm not sure I it's a good or bad thing but I found it interesting! It's more oily, it seems. My other clay would dry so fast (not solid, but fast) you would have to mould very quickly, I kinda enjoyed the rush LOL.

Anyway, will update with more pics as he advances! I need to get some nice black fabric tomorrow! (^•w•^)

hey! Work on my new doll has been in progress! it's on a bit of a hiatus atm because I need more clay and Xmas is destroying my wallet!

I am trying new techniques this time! I used my finer wool-fibre to sand and a make-up brush to paint, I got the idea to use a make-up brush since they are soft and meant to transfer foundation to your face without streaks, also just for the fact the brush was bigger than the paint brushes I own and I can't afford to spend £20 on a paintbrush, since going to buy cheap products will only give me a negative result when I want to move forward.

I've decided on trying to make this doll ball jointed! it's complex but I need to challenge myself to progress, don't I?

Also he is my first little Elven dolly! ^.^

Also another thing I'm trying out is to not use paint and use pastels, they blend better and give a more life-like effect!

just about finished! I am very pleased with the outcome of the changes I made! the difference is just amazing!

I was impatient and tried to make his own wig here, I failed.

No word of a lie I got his wig in the post the next day! 

I had to custom fit it to his head as it was slightly too big, that was a nightmare since it was a very long wig!! and I had to cut and style it which took about 3/4 hours. This is difficult since I had nothing to prop the wig on. I tried to improvise and use things like my hairspray can but it wasn't going to work, hahaha,

Anyway, his head is complete now and he patiently awaits the creation of his body!

Ahhh i'm so dumb.. I've been using all the wrong things for a fine finish on my dolls..

Set sail~!

hey guys!! ..so I've been quite busy recently and haven't had time to update or work on Cap'n ;w; that's why he took so long to finish~ (or "polish" since IMO my works constantly a WIP.) Anyway- did you hear me right?! YES!! captain is finally done with!!!!!

Firstly, I finished re-making &sewing his jacket in silk. I made part of it a tailcoat which worked out pretty awesomely!! and then I started to re-attach his chains onto the jacket. I also went over the black part of his shirt with silk.

the jacket was the most tiring thing to do.. I looked at sewing machines the other day though and am going to get one when I have the money! \(^o^)/

so I also went to Hobbycraft finally.. XD 

I brought new fabric for Cap'ns bandanna and he also had more hair added as I thought it looked a bit flat -'w'- (ps: did I tell you I re-done his face? his features are much more striking now!)

after this I attached skull-charms to his jacket, fluff & chains around his boots!

for the back of his jacket I added lace to the shoulders, for more effect from the front. I made a lace bow for the back & added a purple rhinestone in the centre ^.^ also, can you notice? I've started to do gold detailing on the edges of the jacket!

added detailing to captains bandanna!! and created soles on his shoes~ which were painted!

|Grey Lenses & Re-tweaking Captain|

I was a but silly as I couldn't find my prescription and ordered wrong lense prescription ;( so now I brought lenses that I can't wear~ and they looks so pretty :( *i tried them on but they gave me a headache*

argh I'm rather annoyed about that >_< I miss wearing lenses but it was my own impatience fault~ damn being blind & going blinder~

Anyways I have been working on the captain in my spare time ^w^

things I edited: 

•re-sew the belts to show more of the waist.

•burned all fraying off.

•painted boots brown.

•made new ENTIRE trousers so the legs are thicker and stitching appears neater! 

•painted detailing on the blue sash. edge detail and writing around the waist.

•painted the nails 

•had to re-do the neck as it broke..

•stuffed body more.

~and still currently re-sewing the entire jacket with black silk~

sooo much of my time is going Into Captain atm! I have to totally re-do the jacket collar to make it more dramatic~in fact the whole jacket wasn't dramatic enough really~~! I also re-made the cuff kings and plan to add more details so look forwards to finishing that! I'm not going to finish customising him until I feel he is at a standard I can accept. :3 Making every little thing by hand is difficukt！
